  • Very interesting--worth seeing! Wish we would have had a tour guide though so we had a better idea of what we were looking at!

  • Wonderful cemetary. We visited after dinning at the Commander's Palace. Well maintained, no trash, and wonderful tour guides like Lucky Bean Tours. Extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. She really made the cemetary come alive. Well, you know what I mean.

  • Awesome historical cemetery! Shows such as NCIS New Orleans and The Originals have been known to film here. However, the beauty and historic architecture is a must see here ! Early morning touring is recommended if you are visiting during the hot season of summer. BEWARE OF THE SCAMMERS PRETENDING TO BE TOUR GUIDES OFFERING THEIR ASSISTANCE TO YOU! IF ANYONE OFFERS TO ASSIST YOU TOUR THE PLACE AND THEY DO NOT HAVE AN AUTHENTIC CITY TOUR GUIDE BADGE.....DO NOT TAKE ANY ASSISTANCE FROM THEM AND MORE IMPORTANTLY DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY !!!! THE WATER GUY SITTING AT THE ENTRANCE DOESN'T HAVE A LICENSE TO SELL THAT STUFF EITHER.....SO BEWARE ! Other than that ....cemetery is a great place to visit with 24/7 security company and the occasional law enforcement patrolling the area!

  • One of my favorite cemeteries in New Orleans. You have the option of either a self-guided tour or a guided tour (tour guides usually set up right outside of the gate for those who just wander by). It is easily accessible, and easy to explore the entire grounds. Although it is fairly small, it's easy to feel as if you've left the city of the living altogether, and have instead found existence in a city created entirely for the dead. Closes earlier on weekends (3 instead of 4), unless you're on a guided tour.

  • Easy to get to. Parking was easily accessible on any other side streets.

Truly as unique experience walking through this historic site.

Tour guides set up next to the entrance or in the shade around the square.
