  You have to pay $20 to get in for a mandatory tour, been going for free n taking friends and family. Now they're making me pay, not a small fee but $20 per person. It's a racket the profiteering off all these tourists coming in, where's all this money going, they can hire security guards to make sure the tombs don't get vandalized, but at $20 per person and 10 people each tours every 15 minutes you do the math this money is getting put in the somebody's coffers. It's just a money grab go to the cemetery just north of it you can get a good flavor without having to do the 45-minute mandatory $20 tour. RIP OFF!!!!!!

  $20 dollars to enter?! Tried to explain that I wasn't moving in (maybe they thought I didn't look so well)! I refuse to pay twice what lunch cost to go round a cemetery. For $5, I probably would have.

  I attended the tour and paid the $10 because my grandmother would have been buried there. I did not have the photo of the tomb. We saw Nicholas Cages pyramid tomb which has been hit by lightening twice. It had "perpetual care" and the catholic church repaired the damage which seemed slight. We saw two tombs for Voo doo Queen Marie Catherine Leveau. One is made of red brick and the other is more white. I will attach photos. The tours are the only way to tour the cemetery because someone painted the red brick tomb of Marie Leveau a pepto pink. The Catholic Church closed the cemetery to the public because of this vandalism. The red brick tomb has a hole on the top and a photo shows that ferns are growing in the opening. The sign stated that tour prices were $20 but we were charged $10. $20 is too much to just walk around a cemetery and look at tombs.

  You must have a tour guide to enter the cemetery. It is no longer open to the public and the charge is 20 dollars per person. After that, I must say it is well worth the charge.

  Some very powerful people are in this cemetery. fFamous scene from the movie Easy Rider was shot here. Best to visit when it is cooler weather, humidity is brutal here.
